The Butterflyway Project

Canadian Prairie butterflies and and other wild pollinators need help. The Butterflyway Project is a citizen-led movement bringing nature to neighborhoods throughout the country, one butterfly-friendly planting at a time. ACAN is encouraging our community, churches, and schools to create a pollinator patch with 12 native plants of southern Manitoba, or 50% native and 50% pollinator-friendly cultivated plants throughout the town and in southern Manitoba.
